Peach Season

Hello, My Lovelies!  We always look forward to peach season here in Central Alabama because some of the best peaches in the world are grown in Chilton County.

I decided to start blogging over here on my art journaling blog again.  I would like to learn new techniques, but I still want my main focus to be on drawing.  I also like to include washi tape (one of my addictions) and other bits of ephemera from the day.  And, since it is a journal, I usually complete the artwork earlier in the day and then write about the day later that evening.

I want to make it a priority to draw a little bit everyday.  Some days I'll have more time than others, and on those days maybe I can concentrate on colored pencils like the peach, below.

On this page I also included a delicious recipe for Cantaloupe and Peach Salad.  It's a quick, easy, and refreshing summer salad.  I found the recipe in one f the local Lake Martin, Alabama magazines.

I drew the peach using Prismacolor colored pencils.
I also used colored pencil paper, and I love it!

I don't know how long I'll be able to maintain two separate blogs, but I'm going to try.  If you'd like to read my other blog, click on the page at the top of the blog for a link to The Sketchy Reader.  Or, you can follow this direct link HERE.

Until next time...
